The transformation of Genpact

Every day, many millions of paper invoices are sent between different companies. The chances of losing such an invoice are high, it is inefficient and a waste of paper. This flow of invoices had to be changed! Genpact therefore asked Second Company to develop a digital invoicing platform to digitise the millions of invoices sent by large well-known Dutch companies.

The approach of Second Company

Second Company bouwde de kern van ‘de engine’ van het facturatieplatform met alle portals en apps daaromheen. Hierbij werden externe facturen omgezet naar een eigen generiek formaat, gebaseerd op het Universal Business Language (UBL) formaat. Op deze manier kan een leverancier, eenmaal aangesloten op het interne platform, met alle klanten op dat platform eenvoudig digitale facturen uitwisselen.

Second Company digitaliseerde namens Genpact onder andere de complete facturatie van Ahold. Daarnaast maken diverse andere bedrijven – zoals Roto en CEVA Logistics – nu gebruik van het door ons gebouwde systeem.
