Portals and apps that are worked in every day
This is what Second Company grew up on: portals and apps carrying the daily work of thousands of people. It is no longer our spearhead, that is AI in production, but we still build and support them, and the systems we made are still running.
Discuss your portalWhat we do
- 01
Customer and employee portals
One place where a customer sees their file or an employee does their work, connected to the systems behind it.
- 02
Dealer and partner portals
For organisations working with a network of partners who would rather not serve that network by email.
- 03
Mobile apps
Where the work happens away from the office. Often alongside a portal, on the same data.
- 04
Support with guarantees
What we build, we keep running. See production accountability.
Where this comes from
Many of the cases on this site are portals: managing thousands of servers at Liberty Global, the facility management platform at KPN, the digital housing association at Rochdale. Fifteen years of systems in production.
Who it is for
Mid-market and enterprise organisations who want to open a process up to customers, employees or partners.

Why it is no longer the spearhead
Building a portal is no longer the scarce part. With the current generation of tooling a team gets a long way on its own, and that is exactly why we moved towards the part that did get harder: getting AI to work inside an existing landscape, making compliance demonstrable, and taking responsibility for what runs.
What stays: if you need a portal and you want someone on it who will also support it afterwards, that is still available here.
